Equilibrate-Nutrition for the Balanced Horse manufacture equine nutritional supplements according to the most up to date research recommendations e.g. the use of phytogenics (bioactive plant molecules): that increase digestion, improve feed conversion, boost immunity and improve overall health.   

Pharmaceutical and food grade ingredients are used and incorporate food source and amino acid linked minerals, vitamins, nutraceuticals, herbs and spices that the horse benefits from most. And importantly at EFFECTIVE levels.
There are no flavourants, preservatives or banned substances used.  

Equilibrate was etablished in 2001 by Michaela Bowles BSc(Hons) PGCE,  RNutr (UK), manufacturing equine nutritional supplements and providing education, training and consultancy.

Michaela registered with the Nutrition Society (UK) and has certificates for ‘Humane Horse Handling’ and the ‘Strasser’ hoof trimming method.

Has lectured in land based colleges on all aspects of equine science and management to graduate level.

Was a tutor and examiner for the Open College of Equine Studies and an Edexcel Biology A’ Level Examiner.

Worked for Redwings Horse Sanctuary, as a welfare officer, who specialise in rescue and rehabilitation of neglected equines

Writes on a variety of  horse related issues that have appeared in HQ, SA Horseman, Horse and Hound and Equiworld

Is a horse-owner (30+yrs)  particpating in endurance, hunting, SJ, dressage and ODE  (now a happy hacker with Bishop of Bombay!
